Yoga has always been for me the practice of a philosophy, the essence of which underlies all that I do. The path of its practice is an intense journey into discovering the potentials and the limitations of our individual selves. The quest of Yoga demands intense practice (Tapah), inspires a sense to self-study (Swadhyaya) and instills the inner strength to be able to surrender to the divine will (Ishwara Pranidhana).

Starting at the Shivananda Yoga Centre in New Delhi, a two and a half decade long journey with Yoga, found a new direction after I attended the teachers’ training at the Bharat Yoga Vidya Kendra, Madanapalle, in the south of India. Here a rigourous course that is infused with the vision of Sri M, has led me to give a spiritual direction to my personal quest in knowing the sense of Yoga, that I try to adhere to, both in my own practice and as I teach it to others.
